Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien Visited Tongji Hospital
On Sept.12, Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien, head of Rheumatology Department, Diakonhjemmet Hospital, Oslo, Norway visited Tongji hospital and a welcoming meeting was held in the administration building. Prof. WU Hua, vice president of the hospital, Ms. WANG Pu, director of international exchange office, Prof. DONG Lingli, director of Rheumatology and Immunology Department and Ms. ZHANG Ziyun, head nurse of Rheumatology and Immunology Department attended the meeting.
From 2005 to 2007, Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien held the post of President EULAR and has been the editor-in-chief of Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases since 2008. He has edited 15 books and published about 500 papers with the citation of over 23,000 times and H-index 67. He was awarded as the honorary member of Norwegian Society of Rheumatology, Czech Society of Rheumatology, Finnish Society of Rheumatology and the ACR Master in 2015.
During the meeting, vice president WU Hua extended his warm welcome to Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien on behalf of Tongji and gave an introduction of our hospital in aspects of hospital moving from Shanghai to Wuhan, hospital clinical and S&R development. Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien also gave a brief introduction of his research and responsibility and the bilateral parties were willing to establish a cooperation in the fields of doctors exchanging as well as science and research cooperation.
During his stay, Prof. Tore Kristian Kvien also attended the Academic Exchange Conference of Rheumatology and Immunology in the Internal Medicine building. He listened to the speakers and gave his suggestions on the projects they presented. After the conference, he visited the wards and talked with the doctors on the clinical work.
The visit has laid a foundation for further cooperation between Tongji hospital and Diakonhjemmet Hospital in Rheumatology and Immunology.
