The 2nd Sino-German Health Innovation Dialogue and the 29th CDGM-DCGM Annual Conference Held
On June 13th, the 2nd Sino-Germany Health Innovation Dialogue and the 29th Chinesisch-Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizin and Deutsch-Chinesische Gesellschaft für Medizin (short for CDGM-DCGM) Annual Conference was held in Beijing. In the afternoon, Mrs. LIN Bin, director of National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China and Mr. Hermann Gröhe, minister of Germany Federal Ministry of Health attended the conference and extended their speeches. In their remarks, Director LIN Bin and Minister Gröhe both expressed the cooperation in medical health between two countries is increasing and we should work hand in hand to promote the communication in medical health field.
Prof. CHEN Anmin, president of CDGM and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huazhong University of Science and Technology expressed the brainstorming and thinking communication this time would establish a new foundation for further cooperation in medical technology. Nearly 230 hospital managers from China and Germany attended the conference. The annual conference would become another milestone for Sino-Germany medicine exchange history. Prof. Christian Ohrloff, president of DCGM told us that the annual conference obtained the supports from the two governments, which would deepen the medical exchanges between two countries.
The conference was held by National Health and Family Planning Commission of People’s Republic of China, Federal Ministry of Health of Germany, CDGM-DCGM and organized by Tongji hospital. The topics in the conference varied from medical technology innovation and promotion, disaster medicine, rehabilitation medicine, digital medicine, translational medicine, medicine policy, community health, general medical practitioners training, medical safety and so on.
In the conference, Director Lin and Minister Gröhe signed 2017-2018 Sino-German Health Cooperation Practice Plan. And the bilateral parties signed the Memorandums of Understanding.
The CDGM-DCGM was founded in 1984 in China and Germany with the aim of promoting the communication and exchanges in medicine field by bilateral medical participants. The societies established an academic platform and gained profound impact to become an important event of Sino-German medicine exchanges every year. Since 2007, hospital management and disaster medicine were included as the main topics.
