International Academic Forum of Neurosurgery Department Held

To accompany the 60th Anniversary of Tongji hospital’s relocation from Shanghai to Wuhan, the international academic forum of neurosurgery department was successfully held from  Oct.28th to 31st.

The international delegation includes Prof. Christopher Nimsky, the chief of neurosurgical department of Marburg university hospital, Germany; Prof. Ulrich Sure, the chief of neurosurgical department of Essen university hospital, Germany; Prof. Oliver Ganslandt, the chief of neurosurgical department of Stuttgart Katharinen hospital, Germany; Prof. Aminadav Mendelowitsch, the chief of Hirslanden medical center Basel, Switzerland; Prof. Juergen Honegger,the vice-chief of neurosurgical department of Tuebingen university hospital, Germany; Dr. Nicolai Savaskan from neurosurgical department of Erlangen university hospital, Germany; Prof. Dale M. Swift, the chief of Children's Medical Center Dallas, USA and Prof. Rongsheng Cai from Arkansas University hospital, USA.

On Oct.28th, the delegation visited neurosurgical department of Optical Valley branch of Tongji hospital and they took part in the ceremony there together with other guests. On 29th of Oct, they participated the 1st Tongji Hospital International Medical Science Summit, and later they visited neurosurgical departments in Wuhan Central hospital and Wuhan Puai hospital, the teaching hospitals of Tongji medical college. On Oct.30th, they joined the celebration of 60th anniversary of foundation of neurosurgical department and Prof. Nimsky was appointed as visiting professor of Tongji hospital. On the 31st., the 2015 annual meeting of Wuhan neurosurgical society & 2015 Wuhan international neurosurgery summit was successfully held, about 150 neurosurgeons from Wuhan and other “1+8” Wuhan metropolitan joined the congress, and invited speakers from home and abroad gave talks focusing on neuro-oncology, cerebral vascular diseases, pediatric neurosurgery and neuro-critical care.
