Research

1. Translational and clinical cardiology, specifically in the area of electrophysiology and arrhythmia, such as inherited arrhythmogenic cardiac syndromes.
2. Cardiac electrobiology, epidemiology, risk stratification, and treatment of heart failure, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, and sudden cardiac death, et al.
3. Drug development and therapy. Cardiac pharmacology in animal model, stem cell model, cell lines, and patients.
4. Molecular genetics and mutation analysis of the basis for cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.
5. Molecular and cellular characteristics of action potential and ion channels in heart, and the characteristics and underlying mechanism of ECG markers, such as J wave, T wave, U wave and QT interval, and possible therapy.
6. Gene expression and modulation in human and animal models with cardiac arrhythmias.
7. Stem cells and iPS cells.
